Transmissions II

Acrylic Monotype / 41.25” x 31.5” Framed / 2019

SOLD

This piece was part of a commission by a local art collector to create a diptych for his home office. I was given full reign on every aspect of the concept and design, with the only parameters being to stay true to my aesthetics in abstraction and being “inspired by the wall.” I decided to use the approximate color of the room for a reference point and went with a limited palette, which was a bold, yet looser interpretation of primary colors. Since it was for a home office/workspace, I conceptualized the idea of work and the transmissions of thoughts and ideas. From this came Transmissions I & II.
